The MOST Awards, which recognize sales performance excellence in the media industry, was celebrating 13 years when the awards took place in Johannesburg on 14 September
2023. The MOST Awards have grown to become the “highlight in the media industry’s networking calendar,” setting the benchmark for all media owners, media agencies and professionals to strive for, and to be celebrated by the industry for the outstanding work they do.
The event always boasts an unforgettable night out with industry giants and this year was no different. Afterall, these were the second awards since COVID-19 that allowed everyone to mingle freely. It was also the 1st time since COVID-19 that the event returned to its home, the Wanderers Sports Club so there was a sense of nostalgic excitement that floated through the air. You could tell that everyone had missed experiencing “The MOST” in all its glory.
At this year’s Most awards Nalesa Media had the honor of sponsoring the Shephard award and hosting a whiskey and cigar lounge. The Shepard award is awarded to the media participant who has been very instrumental in leading and nurturing up-and-coming talent in the industry over the past year. Our managing director, Palesa Mabuse, was pleased to present the Shephard award to Celia Collins, the Media Vice President from Publicis Media. We are honored to have been given the opportunity by the Most Awards team for this collaboration.
Nalesa Media pulled out all the stops with our “Casino themed” cigar and whiskey lounge that included games like poker, roulette, a spin-and-win wheel, black-jack and more. A very big thank you, also, to everyone that graced our lounge with their presence and an even bigger thank you to Diageo for collaborating with us to provide a premium bar experience. The enthusiastic participation from everyone was truly appreciated. If the 2024 awards are anything to go by, we are really looking forward to the next night of media sales excellency.
